1. Sham-ME Sammy Sosa, ex-Sox bust and national celebrity for the zingers he hits at Wrigley Field. Seemingly endless variations of spellings and terminology including "Shammy", Sam-me, and Sam-me-me-me".
2. Slappy Mike Caruso. Taken from a 1998 nickname given Caruso by teammate Robin Ventura: "Slappy, the Inning Maker", a reference to how Caruso usually got on base.
3. Statheads Anyone who trusts baseball statistics over empirical evidence. Constantly at war with their opposite number, known as The Flat Earth Society, F.E.S. for short.
